Cherry Creek Lodge is the perfect place for retreats and special events. Picture a business or church retreat, small wedding, or family reunion held in the idyllic setting of Cherry Creek Lodge. Play cowboy. Enjoy the beautiful weather while bonding out on the trail, at the shooting range or in the roping arena. Socialize in the great room, bar, patios, or deck at night. Special arrangements can be made for seminars, guides and historical tours. Find out more about our retreat and event options.

The rich history and culture surrounding Young, Arizona is the stuff of cowboy legends and has been detailed in several books. Young –  located in Pleasant Valley – is home to the Pleasant Valley War, an infamous dispute between the Graham and Tewksbury families. Find out more about the history of Pleasant Valley on the history page of our website.

Living Room
The Cherry Creek lodge accommodations* are for everyone. Whether you're taking a family trip with the kids, a hunting trip with friends, a romantic getaway or just looking to get away, Cherry Creek Lodge is your destination.

Young, Arizona rests within the fifth largest forest in the United States, along the Mogollon (moh- guh-yohn) Rim. The landscape is comprised of rolling Ponderosa pine hills, Sonoran scrub valleys and rocky wash basins. A variety of wildlife including 11 different game species such as elk, mule deer, Coues white tail deer, black bear, mountain lion, javalina, turkey, and quail call Pleasant Valley their home. We are favored with roughly temperate weather for a greater part of the year.

For a brief but spectacular three weeks in September, the foliage undergoes a magical change around the Valley. Brilliant reds, oranges and yellows cover the deciduous trees.

December through late February the lodge receives a dusting of snow and the occasional winter wonderland storm as seen in the picture gallery. Temperatures reach below freezing at night, so be sure to pack plenty of warm winter clothing and cozy up by the fire.

Spring and fall temperatures are very temperate with an average between the low 70s to mid 90s. It’s the perfect escape from the still blazing heat in Phoenix. July and August are the hottest months of the year, while August and September receive the most rain fall of the year.

However, no matter what time of the year you visit Cherry Creek Lodge we guarantee you will enjoy your stay! Find your perfect reservation today.
